Dreamville is one of the most potent rap labels in the game today. With a line-up that includes acts like EarthgangCozzBas & of course, J.I.D.J. Cole has carved out one of the best rosters in Hip-Hop, bar none. Adding to the list of all-stars is Washington D.C. native Ari Lennox, who drops off two potent new singles in, “Grampa” & “40 Shades Of Choke.”

Building on the sultry, sweet sound that made her a force on her last project, “Grampa” is an ambient, yet highly-enjoyable track that sees Ari questioning her man’s energy and love, as she pleads to come see him. With Lennox turning around the old theme of, “come and see me” and flipping it on its head, “Grampa” is a cozy single that’s worth the listen every time.

As for, “40 Shades Of Choke,” well excuse me but that’s my sh*t. Backed by some of the best R&B production all year from Melo-X, the track is a nasty, freaky, totally relatable song that spares no feelings and leaves no desire unchecked. With Ari sounding as climatic on the verse as she desires to be in the bedroom, “40 Shades Of Choke” is the best new music to set the mood to.

Check out, “40 Shades Of Choke” below and stream, “Grampa” through any streaming provider now.
