Dreamer Boy‘s personal take on modern lo-fi pop or “CowboyPop” as he dubbed it on SoundCloud is perhaps the most enchanting sonic experiment that I have stumbled upon recently.

The peaceful instrumental carried by a simple, but upbeat drum pattern with trancey synths, subtle guitar riffs, and his own ethereal vocals underneath the lyrics of this track set the stage for a peaceful exploration of teenage emotion. The complete product is a heavenly melody, perfectly capable of being its own product altogether.

His singing is perfectly gentle and keeps total tranquility for the duration of the record. He unpacks teenage romance and is the lyrical content is a fitting synecdoche for all lovesick wandering kids searching for what makes them happiest. I am enthralled by this record and am itching to hear more from Dreamer Boy in the near future.
