Concept videos aren’t dead. Denver’s Doze is making his Elevator debut with an encapsulating new visual for his latest single, “Outside”. The Joe Zalan-directed video’s changing perspective paired with Doze’s impressive vocal range and songwriting come together in one of the better story-boarded videos to hit our pages in recent memory.

The self-produced beat switches tempo midway through the video and Doze’s lyrics shift from external to internal. The result is an artist conflicted yet thriving. “Outside” offers surprising depth in our first glimpse of one of Denver’s most enigmatic new artists.

Give “Outside” a watch below a let us know your thoughts in the comments. Or, continue smashing the repeat button like myself.
