The highly anticipated album Surf from Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment was finally liberated last night. Surprisingly, it was made available for free on iTunes, a welcome sight to fans that have long awaited its release. That also means you have no excuse to miss it, so go download it immediately. If you’re unfamiliar, DT&SOX (I’m not typing the full name of this group more than once) is the collective started by Nico Segal aka Donnie Trumpet, the former horns player for Kids These Days, the same band that counted Vic Mensa as a member. Oh, there’s also this rapper in the band named Chance, you might know him. While iTunes doesn’t list any official features, keep an ear out for appearances by J. Cole, Busta Rhymes, Big Sean, Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae. Be prepared for the chillest of vibes brah, surf on.
