Underground darlings Da$H and Meechy Darko (of Flatbush Zombies) have stood as some of the most influential and criminally underrated MCs birthed from the legendary Beast Coast era of the early 2010s. To my best knowledge, this is the first time these two have been on a track (that saw the light of day) together. “Fangs” is just as hollow and menacing as the title and these artists’ reputations suggest. V Don created a volatile environment with his tense instrumental and the slowed down nature of it lends perfectly to the skillsets of both Da$H and Darko respectively. As a person whose musical teeth were cut in the time when these two artists were at their peaks, this track is a wonderful sight to see.
