Cautious Clay plays on the balances of relationships in new visuals.
For those unfamiliar with the Brooklyn singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, here is a perfect time to get acquainted. Cautious Clay is one of the breakout male vocalists leading 2018 on the success of his recent EP, Blood Type. Clay strikes at topics that hit home throughout the EP, finding a range of emotion to match his vocal range. In his latest music video, presented from Pitchfork, Cautious Clay plays on the balances of relationships in the video for his track, Cold War.
The video, co-directed by Cautious Clay and Alex Gallitano, who also directed his acoustic music video for Blood Type, follows Clay through his home with his romantic counterpart, teetering in a dream versus reality state. What seems to be a happy and healthy relationship unexpectedly wanes through the long-shot scenes which really plant the viewer into the situation.
