Caleb Ortiz is an up and coming recording artist and producer out of Richmond, Virginia. Ortiz’s Latin heritage and unique style of music have been turning heads in the local area, and the young artist is looking to generate an even bigger buzz in 2018.

Born in Los Angeles, Ortiz moved to VA at a young age and has considered it home since his arrival. Frustrated studying as a freshman at the College of William & Mary towards a dead end degree, Caleb decided to put down the books in 2015 and chase his dream of changing the culture of today’s society through his passion in music. He dropped out of college, a short while later meeting up in a home studio garage with three like-minded music fiends known as Ten Thou Music. That group dissolved and reincarnated as VIRL.

Ortiz still maintains his goal of making a positive change in his community. Proceeds from his newest single, aptly named “V I R L”, are used towards charities in his local Richmond area. He has even more in store for the next year though, promising an LP in the summer guaranteed to make Richmond a powerhouse on the new rap scene.
