Indianapolis’s own Blackyouth, occasionally styled as blkyth, has been building his resume in his area, producing for the likes of Warhol.ss, Drayco McCoy, NOLANBEROLLIN and more. Normally found on the production side of the equation, Blackyouth proves he’s got skills in both lanes with his mixtape, Goldenchild.

Blackyouth kicks multiple styles through the whole tape, starting with the bass-heavy Big Ben, which has a crazy exciting flow that Blackyouth eats the whole song. Blackyouth shows off some melody in my personal favorite, “Red Wings,” and then links with some common forces like captaincrunch, Mathias Young, and Drayco McCoy. The tape floats between Blackyouth’s vast styles and soundscapes, making for a fully encapsulated project showing all of Blackyouth’s creativity.
