The best way to describe Benny The Butcher’s new project Tana Talk 3 is to put it simply; it is bars, on bars, on bars. The rapper finds himself reminiscent on his past in the streets and talking about his ambitions of being a rapper over production from the likes of The Alchemist, resulting in some grimy, boom bap soundscapes. Features from Meyhem Lauren, Royce Da 5’9 and his fellow Griselda members Westside Gunn and Conway further add to the album’s grit, putting one though in the listener’s mind; “this is New York”.
