Where did the name ‘Sexual Jumanji’ come from?
Honestly, I feel like this story changes every time someone asks. I don’t really remember anymore. I think one of my friends said it, and I was like “Oh damn, that would be a good Twitter name.”
When did you first make a Twitter account, and what were your intentions?
I first made the account in 2011. I really wanted to win a weapon skin on ‘Gears of War,’ and actually did end up winning it. I didn’t use the account for the next two years, but then in 2013 I was bored in my senior year of high school, so I mostly just posted high school bullshit. I still post the same exact way that I did back then, now it’s just jokes though.
At what point did you notice serious traction on your account?
In late 2015 I broke 1,000 followers, and that was always a goal. Then I realized most of my followers weren’t people from high school.
Do you remember your first viral tweet?
Definitely. It was the night of the Super Bowl, and Peyton Manning shook Papa John’s hand immediately after winning. Just a beeline right to the Papa. Then hey kissed on the cheek so I was like, “Okay, Papa John definitely has Peyton Manning’s family hostage.” I tweeted something along those lines, and boom.
“Please, let my family go Papa John, I’ve done everything you’ve asked.” pic.twitter.com/wIgIBGkxzB

What are some of your personal favorite Twitter accounts?
I love @mineifiwildout and @billratchet. I think Big Tan is the funniest person on Twitter right now.
How has Twitter changed since you started using it?
Twitter was such a free for all in 2013. You could post whatever you wanted without getting in trouble. Now you gotta be more careful with what you post, but I think it’s a good thing because a lot of people kinda grew up since back then. Also all the memes now are from shit in the 2000’s, and it’s whack because I didn’t like any of it then, and I don’t like it now.
Can you name some real-life events that inspired a particular joke?
The whole ‘Dicks Out For Harambe’ thing that happened, whatever year that was. That meme sucked. I’m constantly apologizing for it.
When was the first time a complete stranger recognized you in public?
I was at one of Kanye’s pop up shops in Los Angeles on vacation, and someone yelled “Sexual Jumanji!” from the line. I said “Thank you,” and walked away. I misheard what they said, and everyone was like “Why did you say thank you when he said your name?” I was so embarrassed haha.
Are you still in school?
I just graduated college in December with a degree in advertising. I’m super unemployed.
Have you considered a career in social media or marketing?
Yeah, that’s what I want to do in some capacity. I’ve had talks with jobs but nothing has happened yet. I’m just chilling.
