Name: Sir William Ratcliffe III
Age: 23
Hometown: Upstate NY
Where’d your username come from?
When me and my homie @tweetgamelazy started tweeting, he was (and still is) ‘Young Domestic Abuse,’ and I was ‘Yung Suspect.’ Down the road, I changed my @ to BillRatchet for no got damn reason and cycled through many different personas. At one point I became Dr. Bill and Bill From Flavortown, then I had my obsession with ‘Gangnam Style’ and everything. It’s always just been some random shit.
When did you first join Twitter and what were your intentions?
I first joined Twitter in 2012, and I used to think it was lame as fuck because it was just regular ass people tweeting some boring ass shit. When I was a freshman in college, my friend and I found weird Twitter and became somewhat obsessed with the jokes back when asterisk jokes and all the witty shit was funny.
My intentions were just to tweet the goofy ass shit that was always crossing my mind cuz I was always the (barely) funny kid growing up that was always tryna make people laugh at stupid shit.
When did you start to notice traction on your account?
This is gonna sound goofy, but the standards have really changed with accounts over the past couple years. Back when I hit 1k, that used to mean a lot in the weird Twitter community, but this is way before tweet decks and all that bullshit people use to get clout.
I’d say once I hit 10k was when I was like, ‘Oh shit, theres something wild here and I wanna see how far I could possibly go with it.’ Within the past year and a half is when shit really started to take the fuck off, and I honestly have no idea why, because all I do is tweet the same old dumb goofy shit.
What was the first tweet of yours that went sorta-viral?
stfu mom I’ll drink as much monster as I want pic.twitter.com/GkssqiCHpR

Back in the day when this shit hit 10k, I thought it was the biggest deal in the fucking universe. In 2012-2015, even 1000 favorites was a fuck load on a tweet, and now a days it seems almost everything goes viral.
The internet is for real fucked up. It’s wild to look back and see how the trends and times have changed, and honestly I miss the fuck out of the old Twitter days.
Was the growth gradual or did you see a big jump in your interactions/followers at a certain point in time?
At first the growth was slow, but I wasn’t really concerned about gaining a massive following.
Even when you’re at 1k-2k, the fact that theres 20-30 people that consistently fuck with the stupid shit you say felt like the coolest shit in the world to me. Within the last year is when shit really started taking the fuck off; I’m pretty sure around this time last year I had only 60-70k followers.
How’d you choose your avi?
So my account originally didn’t start as a ‘weird Twitter’ account, and nowadays it really isn’t that whatsoever, but back in the day when weird Twitter was poppin everyone kinda chose funny avis. I used to think that the anonymity of accounts is always what made shit so interesting.
Years back when I first started I was constantly talking to some of the OG’s of the weird Twitter community (like Yung Turd aka Nick Colletti, @chorizo and @djbitchtits and many more and that I used to somewhat idolize), and then I just gained the inspiration to change my shit
to the legendary picture it is now. (Pause at 5:46 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zifK-v-bQMM.)
How would you describe your humor to an average person?
If you like jackin’ off and you like Bobby Shmurda. That about sums it up really.
Who are some of your favorite Twitter accounts to follow?
This is a hard ass question, but off top imma have to start with @killmefam. This man on and off Twitter makes me laugh harder than almost any human being.
Another would be @zackfox, I’ve been a fan of his shit for a long long time but we got the chance
to hang out when I was in LA, and this man is hands down one of the funniest fucking people you will ever meet in your life.
There are so many people that I could put on this list but I’ll just leave it at this.
How are your Tweets inspired? Are there any specific stories you can speak about that might’ve inspired a tweet/series of tweets?
Everything I Tweet is either shit thats actually happening around me or random shit that just pops up in my head. A couple of weeks ago I flew to LA for 10 days, and decided before I flew that I wouldn’t be jackin off for 10 entire days.
I documented each day on Twitter and people could follow along and see me slowly losing my mind, which was hilarious, but theres always random shit like that going on. This also inspired what will go down in history as #NoNutNovember, where me and all my Fellas have decided we will not be touching our meat for 30 entire days. Our mission plan is to become closer to The Lord by the end of these 30 days. (Click here to read the series of tweets.)
Do you have a day job/are you in school?
I have a full time job being Robert M. Shmurda’s lawyer. Also I have a normal ass factory job where I bust my got damn ass doing body repair/paint on aircraft parts, boring shit but you gotta have some damn structure in life (fellas, get a god damn job.)
Do people at work/school know about your presence on Twitter?
Not whatsoever when i’m at work I just put headphones in, listen to podcasts and go the fuck off. I play no got damn games when i’m at work and try not to really bring up my personal life.
Have you considered a career in social media/marketing?
I’ve had a couple record label people hit me up for promotion but I feel like a lotta these fucking people don’t see the true value in the shit that we do on twitter and low ball the fuck outta me. They think were all a bunch of internet weirdos (kind of a fact) that only understand memes
and not the fact that we obviously know how to reach the fuck out to these people and get them to fuck with an idea even if it’s some random shit. Someone hire me got damnit I’m tryna quit my job. JUUUHUUUUUUUUURDME.
