North Carolina’s own BBY Goyard is back with his signature dream pop/cloud rap blend with The Ugly Truth Pt. 2. Goyard really burst on to the scene with his hit music video for “Run Shannon Run”, premiered here with Elevator, and since then Goyard has really ramped up his aesthetic.

Not to be lost with this release is Goyard’s super tight “the stars don’t even look the same,” chorus, showing that Goyard knows not only how to make a viral hit but also pen some really beautiful pop lyrics. Goyard has that interesting duality to his music, parts fun and “of the internet” and other parts well crafted pop melody runs and lyrics. Either way, it’s all fire.
