Cuffing season is fake, but Arin Ray gave us a ballad that is perfect for the made-up time of year. His new single, “A Seat” is sexy to say the absolute least, which is a fitting descriptor because if you know what he looks like, then you’d probably agree with me. After all, art imitates life.

Ray is moving at his own pace following the return from his musical hiatus he took during the summer. His latest single, “Change” features Kehlani and dropped back in August.

I met Ray recently when he came to perform at my school. He danced around the question of whether a new album is coming soon, but he said he has more singles up his sleeve. Before we departed, I told him my career goals and to remember my name and face for when I interview him in the future. His response was, “You never know what could happen.”
