Asian rapper Aaqa submitted his visuals for his song “sanso” last week, and although no one here speaks his native language,  music is the international language and we caught a vibe. His use of popular cadence and spacey vocal performance doesn’t lose any of its impact in translation.

If you are a follower of Asian and hip hop culture, you will remember that Asian Trap had an impressive run a few years back. This more melodic and transcendental form of Asian hip hop may be a response to that, just like how alternative r&b and contemporary urban music is having a resurgence after the SoundCloud rap golden age.
