A Tribe Called Quest is undeniably one of the most legendary hip-hop groups of all time. The innovative New Yorkers have made their impact on urban culture forever, and will rightfully be remembered as icons.

In 2016, the group released their final album with ‘We Got It From Here…’ following the death of member Phife Dawg. Though the group has been touring since, their last scheduled appearance was on Saturday night at Bestival in the UK.

Halfway through their set, Q-Tip interrupted the performance to make an important announcement, saying…

“A Tribe Called Quest, we suffered a blow. We lost our boy Phife Dawg. This is gonna be our last show as A Tribe Called Quest, ever.”
