In my opinion, Vermont rap group 99 Neighbors have dominated the past month of releases, beginning with their memorable “Fake Pods” video and continuing from there. Most recently the 99 Neighbors boys teamed up with Brasstracks and PhiloSofie for a breezy new track, bluntly titled “Fuck No.” The trumpet sections take the already funky instrumental to a new level, and this sets up all of the vocalists perfectly. PhiloSofie’s verse is delightful and her vocals have a sweet twinge about them that pairs well with her genuine lyrics. I am so excited to see what is next for 99 Neighbors and plan on keeping “Fuck No” on repeat all day.
