Virginia artist 1990Bishop makes his Elevator debut with his latest single “Different Planets.” Bishop is the headfigure of his 1990WAVE team, and while mostly playing the role of audio engineer, he’s begun starting to drop records of his own. Different Planets is the VA native’s third release within the last few weeks, racking up the plays for good reason.

The self-mixed track has a great autotune vibe, playing with different vocal textures while Woodpecker adds a top-notch instrumental for 1990Bishop to rap over. 1990Bishop is my first introduction into his 1990WAVE camp, but if this song is a sample of what the rest of the team has been pushing out, it could be a very big year for the Virginia collective.
