There’s power in being able to get your point across without doing the most, and in his new video for his “C-3P0 Freestyle,” GrizzOn13th does exactly that.

The freestyle became an instant favorite of mine when he first sent it my way over a year ago because of how clean it is. The beat is calm, steady, and minimalist in sound with the DMV artist floating over it effortlessly.  The video is the same way. Directed by NeoBlackBoi, there is little movement and cool editing effects as it switches between a few scenes of Grizz and his homies throughout.

Grizz dropped his debut album, Mercy Me last fall. His tone of voice always intrigued me, so I’m anticipating what else he has in store for this year. Peep the video for “C-3P0 Freestyle” by GrizzOn13th below and don’t forget to turn him up.
