Smooth, confident, and charismatic are some of the words to describe the Maryland-native, Foggieraw. With a very laid back approach – so laid back that some of his bars turn into mumbled sketches of what the words might sound like – Foggieraw has built up an impressive catalog by putting his personality first. Finding success with early singles like Look Like Porzingis, and U Can’t Be My Baby, Foggieraw keeps the hits coming on his newly released album, Fogtavious Vandross.
Coming straight in with the first track, Foggieraw sets the mood for the album with She Said Ur Blessed, with the charisma and confidence on full display as he slides smoothly over the bass-heavy beat. Foggieraw catches fire in the middle of the album with the back to back heavy hitters of Drake and Josh and right into Moncler Bubble, which has one of the more infectious flows on the album. Foggieraw ends each bar with a repetition of the rhyme that will definitely have listeners floating along with Foggieraw through the track. The video that came with the song gives a great look into the seemingly effortlessness of Foggieraw’s persona and music as he strolls through New York City.
Foggieraw has a penchant for catchy hooks, and a real knack for collaboration both with producers and artists alike. Pairing nicely with London’s DJ Yung Vamp for some of his more memorable productions, and tapping on the shoulders of artists like Tk Kayembe and Mannywellz for additions, it’s clear that Foggieraw knows what type of sound he is after, and he knows the people that he will work best with to create.
