Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival is quickly approaching, and we wanted to highlight some of the up-and-coming acts that will be in attendance. This way you can strategize your schedule ahead of time, hopefully checking out everyone you want. Aside from the veterans in attendance like The Roots and D’Angelo, there’s quite a few new acts that are definitely worth a listen. Run down the list and peep a few of the newcomers to North Coast, and make sure you get tickets while they’re still available!

1. Leikeli47

From Brooklyn, Leikeli47 is ageless. We don’t know much about her except she wants it to be about the music only. When Noisey asked her what the deal was with the masks she said, “It distracts from everything that everybody would normally go to. What’s she look like, what’s her shape, her complexion. What’s coming out of this gun is love, what’s coming out of that gun is fun music.” Catch her set on Saturday.

2. Stefan Ponce

You may not have heard Stefan’s name before, but you’ve most likely heard his music. He produced Vic Mensa and Kanye West’s “U Mad,” Mick Jenkin’sGet Up Get Down” and Childish Gambino’s Grammy-nominated “3005” but you should also peep his solo work. He recently released “Forever Julie” on his SoundCloud, which you can hear below. Ponce is performing on Sunday.

3. Skizzy Mars

New York emcee with smooth melodies and a laidback flow, he’s performing on Friday at NCMF.

4. Twin Shadows

Singer and producer George Lewis Jr. performs under the name Twin Shadows, and after a near-death accident with his bandmates this past April he’s ready to get back to the stage. See him on Sunday!

5. Leather Corduroys

Consisting of Joey Purp and Kami De Chukwu, the duo recently released their " target="_blank">Season project and are playing NCMF on Friday.
